FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – FAQ’s

How does this work?
1. Upon registration and payment, you will be emailed access and instructions to begin your Pool Operator Primer (POP) online, self-paced course. Please, allow at least 8 hours to complete this portion of the course. REGISTER HERE
2. Your CPO Handbook will be mailed to you (International students have to choose to accept the additional postage) and the eBook version will be mailed to you. The Calculations Homework will be email to you, as well. Please, make at least one attempt at these problems as this will help keep our class on track and be more meaningful to you during our review in the Live sessions.
3. Attend the two, 4-hour Live sessions which includes the exam on day 2. The Live sessions include Math Review, lecture, discussion, PowerPoint, Q&A, and video.
4. Pass the online, proctored exam with a score of 74% or better (37 correct answers out of 50 multiple choice questions).
What is the best way to get ready?
1. Complete your Pool Operator Primer (POP) online, self-paced, 8-hour course prior your live session. Your POP Certificate of Completion is required to attend your Live session and gives you the foundation to more fully participate and understand the Live session presentations.
2. Make at least one attempt at the Calculations Homework assignment before the Live Sessions. The first presentation in the Live session is to review the homework. Having done it in advance will help you better confirm your understanding of the required math and help you succeed on the exam.
3. The new CPO Handbook includes the most complete and current information available. Please, review and become very familiar with the Handbook before your Live session. Your Handbook ships promptly after enrollment and usually arrives in a few days. Please, provide your correct shipping address for quickest access to your Handbook. Access to the eBook will also be provided via email upon enrollment.
Is there a discount for enrolling several staff members?

What if I don’t pass the course exam? – Our Guarantee!

WE GURANTEE YOU WILL PASS. If you go thru the Pool Operator Primer (POP) carefully, do the Course Math Homework before the Live sessions, review your CPO Handbook, and pay attention in the Live sessions; you will greatly increase your chances of passing the open book / open note exam with 74% or better. If you don’t pass, you are welcome to attend future Live sessions until you pass Free of Charge. There is a nominal charge to cover the exam retake fee. If your Pool Operator Primer (POP) Certificate of Completion expires after 6 months, you will have to purchase a new access code to the POP, but attending the Live session will still be FREE.
What happens if I need to cancel my registration?

Cancellations requested after your Fusion materials have been delivered via email and post may receive a refund of your Registration fee less your Fusion materials fee of $250.
Can I transfer to a different course?

Transfer requests made at least 5 days before your Live session will be free. Transfer requests made within 5 days of your live session or multiple change requests may be made for a $50 Registration Change fee.
Can my registration be transferred to a different student?

Once your CPO Fusion Course materials have been delivered to you via email and post, your registration may only be transferred to a new student for a Fusion materials fee of $250.
What happens if I miss my Live session class?

Life happens. If you miss or skip your Live session, you may reschedule for a future Live session for a Missed Registration fee of $100. We try to offer at least 4 different Live session opportunities per month, so one of them should fit your schedule.
Do you offer private classes for groups or individuals?
Yes, we have ON DEMAND Concierge Level service options available for private small groups, too!! – Online OR In-Person

1. HIGHLY recommended to help master the math portion of the exam (20% of the questions). If you master the math in this book, you WILL BE ready for these questions.
Can I earn CEU credits for attending this course?

Yes. After your class is complete, you will receive an emailed survey and CEU request form from the PHTA. Their office can help you submit this form for CEU’s. CLICK HERE for details.
How do I get the original or a replacement copy of my certification?

The Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) administers all certifications. They will email you your first certification when you pass this course. For a replacement copy of your certification, CLICK HERE for details.
